The Carbon Mineral Challenge


In December 2015, researchers predicted that roughly 145 carbon minerals remained undiscovered. The Carbon Mineral Challenge was launched as a result of that prediction. How many new carbon minerals can collectors find by 2019?

What’s going on with Tinnunculite!

Named after the European Falcon (Falco tinnunculus), the mineral is formed as a product of hot gases burning carbon reacting with excrement from Falco tinnunculus.

That’s some crazy shit.
